III. [video/action] backdated to 11/11/11

[Despite the weather being quite chilly this evening, Chidori can be found sitting on a bench near the Dance Theater in Ecruteak, staring into the dark sky.]

Last night, the moon was full.

[She says that in a way that could suggest it's a vital piece of information, but even so, no sort of comment follows, which may or may not be pretty meaningful by itself.

... Nothing really happens for the next few minutes, when suddenly, some odd noises can be heard. Chidori turns (together with the camera) to an egg resting next to her-- or rather, what used to be an egg and is now a nice, little--]

[--that's right, a Poochyena.]

... Chalciope.

[The girl reaches towards the newly-hatched Pokémon, which is currently giving her a not-so-friendly, almost wary look and then--

The Poochyena leaps and bites Chidori's hand.

She doesn't even wince when it happens, casually picking up a PokéBall and calling the Pokémon back instead. Then, she looks down at her hand, which is now covered in blood.

And yet, she doesn't seem disturbed in the slightest.]

[THEN THE POKEMON BITES HER HOLY CRAP]

[CUE A GIRLY SCREAM AS HE PUTS HIS HANDS OVER HIS HEAD.]

UWOOOOOOOOH! CHIDORIIIII!!!! YOUR HAND IS BLEEDIIIIIIIIING!!!!

[Her eyebrows come together in an annoyed frown. Goodness, why is he so loud?]

... I can see that.

This isn't cool at all! You should grab some bandages and wrap it up...!

... Why are you getting so worked up over this? It'll heal.

[No, Chidori. No, it won't. Or at least not as fast as you expect it to.]

If you take good care of it, then it will heal a lot faster. Not to mention, you'll decrease your chances for infection. If you let big wounds linger out for too long, then you could get really sick.

... And most of all, I don't want to see you hurt.

... You don't understand. It heals on its own.

Why?

Don't be stubborn and take my advice. You're not a manga character who has instant regeneration, you know.

Eh? Why? Well... I don't need a reason to be worried about you. If someone's hurt, isn't it natural to reach out and help them out?

... I don't expect you to understand.

No. If you don't care for others, it's... easier.

Idiot. If you close your heart to others, then all you're doing is hurting yourself in the process.

[For a moment, there's just silence. It's hard to tell whether she's angry at him for calling her an idiot or not, or if she's giving what he said any thought at all. Not until she speaks again, anyway:]

--That's exactly right. It's impossible to get through this world without having someone to be friends with. You might not understand the method to my madness right now, but I really do think that there's hope for you.

[No matter what she thinks of his life philosophy, Chidori has to admit to herself that it feels... good to hear someone has hope in her. She's only ever heard something like that from one person before, too. Several months ago, she'd brush that off as nonsense. But she's been proven wrong back then, so she cannot be sure it won't turn out this way again.

[Friendship is one of the biggest definitions of Keiichi's life. He honestly wouldn't know where he would be if he didn't have the bonds he created back at home and here in Johto as well. She did seem very quiet and withdrawn, but that didn't mean that she wasn't allowed to have any friends.

On the other hand, Keiichi is smiling like the sun.]

... Would you want to become friends with me?

[She's never really had friends as most people see it -- there's Medea, of course, but she's a Persona. Jin and Takaya aren't exactly that, either. And Junpei's much more than that.]

... Maybe...

[Considering it's Chidori? That's pretty much an approval.]

[Gives her a thumbs-up with that.] Okay then! That makes us friends for life, Chidori!

[Well he WAS going to say something about the full moon but dkjgalkjgkjgadaljkgjlgdlkgdslkjfalkg THAT REACTION TO BEING BIT IS KIND OF CREEPY. But that she's hurt is more the pressing issue!]

[What is wrong with you people. Calm down and stop bothering her.]

[Chidori, on the other hand ~~pun not intended~~, does not seem half as concerned as Lacus is.]

That won't be necessary.

Do you have bandages with you? Maybe you should apply first aid at the very least?

[She just might do that, if only so people stop overreacting. She'll need to get some first, though.]
